Coaching

Coaching

In order to coach you through your Hearing, whether children, finances, Fact Finding, Final or Divorce, I have broken the process down into stages. The aim of coaching is for you to follow the process step by step and to learn what is required at each stage so not only will you provide the court with the right information, you will also understand why it is important.

Each stage begins with a telephone discussion with me. I will explain the stage, explain what the court is looking for and what you need to do to meet their requirements. You then gather the information, take the steps required or check your position, and send it to me. I will check what you have sent to me and then when it is correct we will move on to the next stage. If what you send to me is not right I will either finish it off myself or explain what is wrong so that you can change it.

Your instruction from me will be a combination of discussion, paper guides and online video explanations. The end of the stage will not only have you in the position of being ready to move onto the next stage, but also I will briefly explain what the next stage will cover.

You are under no obligation to continue through every stage as some cases settle early, some go the full distance, some stages you may feel you can deal with, it is entirely your choice to use my coaching as much or as little as you require.

Children Hearing

The Children Coaching takes you from the very beginning through to the end of the second hearing. The first hearing (FHDRA) is for the court to look at what they need to investigate or understand before making a Final Order. Sometimes a Final Order can be made at the FHDRA, other times the Directions hearing will be repeated until everything is in place. If your case continues to a final hearing you will need to use the Final Hearing Coaching.

Children Final Hearing

The Final Coaching takes you from the position that the court has decided that the only way to conclude proceedings is to hear evidence from both parties, and probably CAFCASS or Social Services and then force their decision on you with a Final Order.

The Final Hearing requires several stages which need explaining and for information to be provided in the way of a Statement, cross examination and a Closing Submission.

Finances Final Hearing

The Final Coaching takes you from the position that the court has decided that the only way to conclude proceedings is to hear evidence from both parties, and any witnesses. There are various pieces of paperwork required for a final hearing.

Non-Molestation Hearing

The Fact Finding Coaching takes you from the allegations made against you, and how to deal with them.  The other side will be ordered to provide a schedule of allegations and a Statement which you need to respond to.  How you respond is critical to the outcome which will be decided at a Fact Finding hearing which is often a one day or longer hearing.

Divorce

The Divorce Coaching leads you through the process of reaching a decision to Divorce and understanding the consequences through to a final Decree Absolute. Often a Spouse will say that they will refuse a divorce or drag it out for years, which is not their decision to make. You can progress the Divorce through the courts and reduce any delay to perhaps 14 days. Otherwise the process follows a set procedure which will result in a Divorce.
